It is really interesting.
There are many good Japanese fighters, and one of the good fighter

[Why Japanese Baseball players are so EXPENSIVE?]
The baseball is very popular sport in Japan, and we have 12 different pro-
Japanese baseball teams. It is separated into 2 different leagues.
One is called "Se-League", and another one is called "Pa-League".
As you might know, there are some Japanese baseball players are currently
playing in America, and achiving great records.
Ichiro Suzuki
Matui Hideki
And, next year, there will be a Japanese plyaer, whose name is Matuzaka Daisuke
who is going to be playing at redsox.
Apparently, his contracted money is extremely EXPENSIVE, and many are wondering
why Japanese baseball players are gettng so expesive.
My consideration for this is that they have won the world champion ship in this year, and many people have realized that there are many good players who can play in America as well.
Anyway, if you are instested in watching baseball, remember the Japanese baseball player whose name is Matuzaka Daisuke.

Unlike English, we don't write names according to the meaning of words,
but also the sound!
Additionally, When Japanese people translate names, we choose from four
different types of Japanese translation called
Kana Translation
Purely Phonetic Translation
Purely Penotative translation
Phonetic and Eulogistic translation
With Japanese names, we normally use the 4th method.
For English names, we would use either 1st, 2nd or 4th Japanese translation.

By the way, do know what the above Japanese kanji symbols mean?
It is Bushido - the way of Samurai.
Bushido is a code of conduct that places a stress upon self-discipline, courage, honor, noblity, frugality, loyalty, and self-sacrifice.
The concept of Bushido is heavily influenced by Zen Buddhism. All the Japanese martial arts, such as Kendo, Judo, Sumo, Aikido, and Karate, are closely linked to the spirit of Bushido. Also, the majority of Japanese people follow the bushido, especially old aged people. But, nowadays, the young people start to forget about the bushido as well.

Japanese people use 3 different scripts to write a word or name
================================================================
Japanese Symbols and Japanese Culture Blog

- Are you afraid to use WRONG Japanese symbols?
100% Accurate Japanese Symbol Translation for Tattoo Design
=================================================================
You know, Japanese people use 3 different scripts to write a word or name
in Japanese
They are:
1. KANJI
2. Katakana
3. Hiragana
Now, let me explain about the 1st script called "Kanji".
Japanese Script[1]: KANJI
===========================
Among these 3 scripts, Kanji script is the most popular writing form for
Western people, as they are mostly used in the LAST SAMURAI movie, and
the look of Kanji is very artistic and expressive comparing to other 2 scripts.
Kanji are basically 'Ideograms'.
Kanji convey a specific meaning, word or idea.
There are kanji symbols to represent all aspects of language including concepts,
feelings and ideas, too.
Historically, it was invented by the Chinese and introduced to Japan.
Although the Chinese character and Japanese Kanji character look very similar,
they are not exactlty the same.
What they look like?
Take a look at the example of Kanji symbols I have created on the web:
http://www.dsfy.com/UnitedStaes_Kanji.htm
This is the Kanji symbols that says "United States" in Japanese.
These are Kanji compounds.
By using 2 different Kanji symbols, it makes the meaning.
The first Kanji character is "Rice", and the second character is "Country".
So, 'rice country' is the Japanese KANJI word for America.
Moreoever, extensive kanji dictionaries can contain as many
as 40 - 50,000 kanji!!
Because there are couple ways to write a same word in KANJI.
For instance, I can write 'Faith' with 4 ~ 5 different ways.
How do I know which one to use?
It usually depends on what you really want to say.
The kanji character for 'Faith' as in Believe is VERY DIFFERENT to 'Faith'
as in promise.

[Japanese Sake & Japanese Cat called "Maneki Neko"]
Recently, I have been to the New Spot called "OmoteSanDou Hills" in Tokyo.
There were so many people everywhere and I had to wait more than 30 mins to
just get a cup of coffee in the restaurant!!
http://www.omotesandohills.com/eng/index.html
There are also many shops situated in this place, and I have found the shop
which sells a variety of Japanese Sake.
In this shop, they have a standing bar, and you can also taste each sake.
There was another traditional Japanese shop and found the Japanese Cat called
Maneki Neko - Literally means invitation cat in Japanese.
It also means "the cat bring you the luck!"

[The Difference Between Japanese Kanji and Chinese Kanji]
Historically, the Kanji Writing System was imported from China, but as time the time went by, kanji writing has evolved into a part of the Japanese Writing System by using the borrowed ideograms to indicate pronunciation.
Although we use Kanji characters as much as Chinese people use, Japanese people use less Kanji characters comparing to Chinese people.
Even if you look at some of the Japanese culture, there are some adoption of cultural and religious materials from China too.
For instance, Chinese herbal medicine is quite popular in Japan.

Japanese kanji symbols, please take a look at our Learn Japanese site.
